Location: The 1906 Bar & Lounge at Hotel at Old Town.
Tickets: $10 for members, $15 for non-members (includes one drink ticket).
Proceeds will help purchase books for STEAM outreach.

Educational Outreach Opportunity
To extend our reach into the community and support STEAM efforts, we are inviting aviation professionals - especially women - to volunteer their time by reading Andrea Beaty's “Rosie Revere Engineer” book and/or Dr. Utash and Mandy Fouse's "Paisley the Pilot and the Sky High Day" to one local elementary class. The books and classroom materials will be distributed at the event on April 24.

Your responsibility would be to identify and contact a teacher to schedule and complete this visit sometime before the end of the school year. The curriculum is ideally suited for second and third grades. To participate, please complete this form. If you do not have a classroom contact, you can indicate that in the form, and we can help coordinate.

Dr. Sheree Utash and Mandy Fouse's Recently Published STEAM Books
We're excited to celebrate the incredible work of WSU Tech's Dr. Sheree Utash and Mandy Fouse for the release of their latest "Tech Tykes" STEAM book, "Paisley the Pilot and the Sky High Day."

Their "Tech Tykes" books highlight a lovable group of friends who explore the fascinating world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) as they discover unique talents and tackle creative challenges, demonstrating how their natural interests can shape their future careers. Their other titles include "Ella the Engineer and the Big Fix" and "Beckham the Biologist and the Outdoor Adventure."

Rosie the Riveter Day
Rosie the Riveter was a heroic figure of the World War II era to represent the women who joined the workforce to assist with the production of munitions and war supplies. In Wichita, many women joined the aviation workforce to assist with the production of the B-29 Bomber Jets that were integral toward the United States’ success during the war. The Boeing Wichita Plant produced 1,769 B-29 aircraft, accounting for 44% of the entire B-29 production. After decades of sustained activism, the U.S. Congress dedicated March 21 to this cultural icon.
