Moran: PPP worked in Kansas; now it needs more money

The Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program is out of money, but one of Kansas’ federal delegates said Friday he expects more funding to be pumped into to the stimulus vehicle. 

“I’m pretty certain there will be more money coming,” Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., said Friday during a virtual meeting with the Wichita Aero Club

The SBA said Thursday it has exhausted all available funding for the Paycheck Protection Program — a slice of the $2.2 trillion CARES Act designed to help business owners keep their companies afloat amid widespread economic challenges caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
